A true essential oil (EO) is an undiluted product that has been extracted from flowers, herbs, leaves, grasses, roots, woods, barks, spices, fruits or gum. Nothing is added & nothing taken away. It is not a massage oil. EO’s are often used for inhalation, diffusing into the air, which can affect airborne infections, and for dilution in a carrier oil for massage. They are often used together in ‘Synergies’.
Newcomers to aromatherapy can experience a great deal of confusion, because high street shops often sell 'aromatherapy oils' that do not inform clearly on the label precisely what is in the bottle. Therefore it is assumed to be an essential oil, when often it is not. Very misleading, and very expensive. We only supply True/Pure Essential Oils under this heading.
Always look for labels that state 'True (or Pure) Essential Oil'. Ambiguous terms such as 'Essential Oil', ‘Contains Essential Oil’, or 'Aromatherapy Oil', are used to confuse you. These names leave the door open to adulteration, dilution and deception. For massage & use on the skin, essential oils (EOs) should be diluted in a carrier or massage oil, very few EOs are used undiluted on the skin by non-aromatherapists. If you are unsure do not use EO’s undiluted.
